Maya Handbags and Jewelry was begun in 1985 by Veni and Maya Evangelista, a mother and daughter team, with a dream. Their love of fashion brought them to create a small line of jewelry pieces that were very eclectic and unusual. They love to mix a great variety of materials together- semi-precious, textural leathers, oxidized metals, metallic threaded cords, crystal,etc...Soon their designs gained the attention of retailers ( both national and international),media and celebrities. Maya highlights sculpted resin echoing natural forms, textures and colors.
